Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your equipment to maximize your gearing capabilities. It allows you to add extra bonus stats over the value of your base item.
Each upgrade template comes with set of options that can be configured through the GUI. These options include upgrading reference and upgrading chance.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading armor and weapons in Cyberpunk was redesigned. Upgrade components are available throughout Night City, and the item you wish to upgrade must have an upgrade slot. The game will show an overview of the item's expected stats after upgrading. It will also display the component or material required. If you don't have the level or resource to upgrade an item, the button will read "Blocked."
